Stains on all the dining chairs and rugs, and the walls desperately needed a wipe down (makeup smeared in the bathrooms, splatter stains throughout, etc.). In addition to the feeling that the place wasn't quite clean, there were a lot of small maintenance things throughout the house that made it feel a bit run down - a door off the hinges, another door missing the hardware, the coffee maker didn't work, the toaster didn't work properly, a shelf in the shower fell, etc. A lot of things that seem like they'd be easy enough to address/keep up and would've made the difference between feeling like the stay was worth the money or not."
